Gary's Pre-Wedding Photography

My friend Gary had asked me to take pictures of himself and his groomsmen getting ready for his wedding, as well as some Portrait Shots. The guys were a pleasure to shoot and the wedding was beautiful. I teared up as they said their vows (which they had both written separately) and both ended with they would love each other as "Christ loved the Church."

Their love was evident and it was a joy to be there. Pictures were taken in Lynchburg Virgina.

Beginnings

Welcome to my blog! I’ve always thought about starting one of these; but never decided to create one before, until my friend Ashley Robbe convinced me to give it a shot. (she has an adorable blog at: therobbelife.blogspot.com)

This blog is a behind the scenes backstage pass to my thoughts, my work, and my inspiration. Before we go any further, here are a few facts about me: I live in the Lynchburg, Virginia area; and attended and graduated from Liberty University. I am a firm believer that chocolate can turn anybody’s frowns upside down (unless, of course, you are lactose intolerant), long walks on the beach can make us and our problems seem so small in comparison to this world; and children and puppies light up life.

I am a Photographer based out of Lynchburg, Virginia and focus on Photojournalistic Wedding photography and Lifestyle Photography. You can view samples of my work at www.charlottepurdy.com. Additionally, I love to write and have a goal of being published one day.

Before I go, let me leave you with an inspirational thought for the day: No matter what this world will throw at you, everything happens for a reason and God has a purpose for you. If things always happened the way we would want them to we would have no “need” for God, no “need” for salvation; and no “need” for His miracles in our lives. God is there for you regardless of whether your days are going smoothly or whether you are struggling; but many times it takes a trial for us to turn to Him.
